Michelle Maust - beekeeper and owner of Homespun Honey NC - and Tim Emmert - owner of Hugger Mugger Brewing Company - will be your knowledgeable guides as you learn and taste your way through four distinctive varieties of artisan honey and craft brews.

Learn how to build and glaze your very own face mug! Potter and teacher Andrew Wells will walk you through the steps and provide individual guidance and instruction. We will be building the mugs on Sunday, July 16th and glazing them on Thursday, July 27th. There are flexible times on the 27th for you working types Your face mugs will be fired and available for pickup on Saturday, July 29th. Class includes tickets for two beers to keep your whistle wet as you work.

Looking for a chill kid activity? Look no further! This event is for ages 7-16.

Come join us for a relaxing Sunday afternoon activity. Your kiddo(s) will be guided with step by step instruction to create an acrylic painting. Guests are always welcome in my classes to create on their own where their self expression guides them as well. Everybody has a natural ability to create. This is a zero pressure zone. No expectations. I will meet each student where they are at and help them along when and where needed.

What’s included? Step by step guided instruction by Landscape and Nature Artist, Amanda DeNapoli. All supplies are included. This event will take approximately 90 minutes and seats are limited. Come out, let your kiddo create with me and others while you can enjoy a cold one close by!

Break out your banana puddin' spoons, we're having our second annual Banana Puddin'-Off at the Brews, Blues & BBQ festival! The fine bakers at Hook and Kee Creations, Miss Jess Sweet Treats, and our neighbor Millie's Mama Bakes will be competing again this year. Plates of banana puddings from all three competitors are for sale and anyone who buys a plate gets a ticket to vote for the best banana pudding.

Our 2nd annual Brews, Blues & BBQ event features great food and drink as well as 6 hours of blues music starting at 3pm.

There are two competitions on the day of the event, one is a BBQ cook off competition with 10 cooks competing for cash prizes. The other is our second annual "Banana Puddin'-Off" with three local bakeries competing for the title of Top Banana.

BBQ plates are $25/each, this includes almost 3lbs of smoked pork BBQ. Plates include coleslaw and roll or cornbread. Every plate includes a ticket, your vote will help determine the winners. Plate pickup begins at 6pm.

Banana pudding plates are $16/each and include three banana puddings by three different cooks. Every plate includes a ticket, your vote will help determine the winner. Plate pickup begins at 6pm.

Beer is the best thing to pair with BBQ and we will release a honey pale ale that day. All beer is poured in branded event cups that are $1 each but you can take it with you at the end of the event.

Blues music starts at 3pm inside the beer hall in front of the large mural. Soul Pancake returns for their second year at the event & we welcome blues musicians Andy Coats & Jason Damico to their first Brews, Blues & BBQ.

This is a free and open event. Tickets are necessary for food and beverages are available at the bar but the music just comes with the territory at this event. If you like the smell of smoked meats, the sweetness of banana pudding, the sound of blues and the taste of beer then this will be the event for you.

Face jugs and mugs are part of North Carolina's storied pottery history, join us as we make our own face mugs under the direction and guidance of teacher Andrew Wells.

This will be a two day workshop. On April 1st we will learn basic hand-building techniques such as slabbing, pinching and sculpting to build our mugs. After they are built and dry, they will go into the kiln to be cooked and prepared for glazing when you return on April 8th.

Redeem one of your two beer tickets when you arrive each night for a beverage and join everyone at the table for a quick and easy-to-understand demonstration from Mr Wells where he will teach you basic techniques for your mugs. He will help you with every step of the way to ensure everyone is having a great time and all mugs are well built and functional... no holes for beer to spill through!
